If you have any business inquiries,

Electromagnetic coils and inductor coils look very similar in structure, but they have many differences.

1. Different functions

Electromagnetic coils are usually used in motors, transformers and other fields. They convert electrical energy into mechanical energy or other forms of energy by magnetizing the iron core; while inductor coils are mainly used to realize energy conversion in circuits, such as voltage reduction, voltage regulation, filtering and other aspects.

2. Different parameters

Electromagnetic coils are usually described by inductance, while inductor coils are usually described by quality factor (Q value).

3. Different magnetic field directions

The current direction in the electromagnetic coil is clockwise, and their magnetic field direction is up south and down north, while the current direction in the inductor coil is counterclockwise, and their magnetic field direction is down south and up north.

4. Different winding methods

Electromagnetic coils are usually used in motors, especially electromagnetic machines, transformers and other power equipment. When designing, it is usually necessary to consider factors such as current, voltage, current density, and magnetic flux density, so the manufacturing process is relatively complicated; while inductor coils are usually used in circuits, and their manufacturing process is relatively simple, mostly using bare wire or enameled wire.
